William D. Hooper, DDS

Dr. Hooper was born in Brownsville, Tennessee, and attended Lambuth College before entering the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry in January 1970. Upon graduating in 1973, he was employed by the North Carolina Department of Human Resources, where he practiced dentistry until moving to Columbus in 1975.

In August 2010, Dr. Hooper celebrates his 35th year practicing dentistry in Upper Arlington! Since opening for business in UA in 1975, Dr. Hooper has continued his education by studying at the L. D. Pankey Institute and with many great dentists, including Dr. Peter Dawson, Dr. Frank Spear & Dr. Mark Piper. As a result, Dr. Hooper has mastered many great techniques in Cosmetic Dentistry, enabling him to treat simple and complex cases alike. He has also studied many causes of TMJ dysfunction and how to treat the problems associated with it.

Dr. Hooper is a member of the Columbus Dental Society, the Ohio Dental Association, the American Dental Association, and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. He resides in Columbus and enjoys boating, golf, and tennis in his spare time.

Kurt Schrumpf, CDT

In addition to graduating from Upper Arlington High School and attending The Ohio State University with a major in Psychology, Kurt is a 1986 graduate from Columbus State Community College with an Associate in Applied Science degree in Dental Laboratory Technology. Over the past 15 years he has taken many courses on advanced dentistry, studying under Dr. Pete Dawson, Dr. Frank Spear, Dr. Gordon Christenson and many other great dentists. Kurt is a Certified Dental Technician and currently holds National Board certification for complete dentures.

Kurt has been associated with Dr. Hooper’s office since 1993 and has a passion for patient care, cosmetically-enhanced smile design, and dental implants. His greatest pleasure comes from restoring and enhancing a patient’s smile. Kurt is excited to see and use the new advances in dentistry in our office, from digital x-rays to the CEREC CAD-CAM system.

Billie P. Short, BS, RDH

Billie was born in Huntington, WV and received her B.S. in Dental Hygiene from Shawnee State University in 1999. She began working as a hygienist while pursuing her Master’s, which was completed in 2003. She moved to Columbus in July 2010 with her husband, Keith, and two daughters, Morgan, 14, and Molly, 10. Her hobbies include reading, running, and hiking.

Billie looks forward to establishing and growing a unique relationship with each of her patients in order to provide superior hygiene treatment and periodontal therapy to integrate with your overall general health.

Vivian Hieatt, RDH

Vivian is a 1985 graduate of Rhodes State College in Lima, Ohio. She also attended The Ohio State University for two years prior to receiving her Associate Degree of Applied Science in Dental Hygiene from Rhodes (formerly Lima Technical College).

With the exception of one year living and working in Switzerland, Vivian has spent her entire career in Columbus. Her goal as a dental hygienist is to help establish treatment based on an individual’s wants and needs. She strives to educate patients to understand the connection of oral and medical health!

Vivian resides with her husband, Scott, in Powell. Her stepchildren, Kara and Alec, attend Columbus State Community College and her two sons, Connor and Corey, attend Upper Arlington High School. Vivian enjoys travel, sports, reading and keeping up with her teenage sons.
